Jamie Woon – Gravity

Written on July 16, 2011 by Dylan Ferguson

I dont remember which artist once said that all of the songs on the radio, have a you in them, more or less, I believe it was Ani DiFranco who is one of my all-time favorite musician of all time. But my dear friend Laura introduced me to Jamie Woon not too long ago and when I began listening to the song a lot of people came to mind and the lyrics had a meaning to them which I loved.

As of today, I cannot relate to this track any more.

Jamie Woon is a British singer and songwriter. Woons sound and style is presently described as soul inflected vocals backed by samplers and programming, or a single guitar track. He describes his music as RB, its groove based vocal-led music.

Jamie Woon — Gravity Lyrics

Money is time, time is a currency You and I both know who youre spending yours on You were the one, you cried for infinity But you cant have it all, no, you cant have it all

Do I chose to be weighted down by gravity To these thoughts that I own? Oh, I dont like this feeling of jealousy Yeah, its not what I want

I love a girl who loves synchronicity Stimulated by nothing more than the meaning of life Shes all around, shes like electricity And I cant have her all, no, no, I cant have her all

Do I choose to be weighted down by gravity To these thoughts that I own? Oh, I dont like this feeling of jealousy Yeah, its not what I want

She refuses to be weighted down by gravity And now shes soldiering on She confided that love, it is an energy Shes passing it on
