Brian Wilson Disputes Beach Boys Reunion Rumors

– As rumors continue to swirl regarding a full-fledged Beach Boys reunion next year in celebration of their fiftieth anniversary, songwriter Brian Wilson says he won’t be participating if their is one.
Speaking to New York’s Village Voice about the rumored reunion, the Pet Sounds genius says, “I don’t know anything about that, I don’t really have a relationship with the other members right now, and I’m not really interested in them.”
Fans were a bit more optimistic last month after Wilson’s remarks to BBC 6 Music. In that interview, Wilson said nothing was really holding him back from a reunion but noted that he didn’t “know if I want to be around those guys.”
“They’re zany guys. They’re crazy,” said Wilson.
Wilson and his backing band are currently on tour in support of his latest album, Brian Wilson Reimagines Gershwin. Shows are currently scheduled in the U.S., Canada and Europe.
