Bradley Cooper Won’t Play Lucifer in Paradise Lost

Written on February 4, 2012 by Dylan Ferguson

Won’t someone let Bradley Cooper make a megabudget, effects-filled tentpole? The Hangover star has recently been on an admirable run of indie dramas, but it’s not completely intentional: Cooper tried to diversify his portfolio by attaching himself to a remake of The Crow and an action-filled adaptation of John Milton’s epic poem Paradise Lost, only no one will finance them! The latter officially fell apart today, when Legendary Pictures balked at the $120 million price tag necessary to install Cooper as Lucifer in the Alex Proyas–directed film, which would have been packed with wall-to-wall angel battles. NFL star Kurt Warner will help others find their ‘Moment’ on USA

Written on January 25, 2012 by Dylan Ferguson

NFL great Kurt Warner proved he can throw a football in the Super Bowl, but can he draw a TV audience?

The USA Network is banking on it, and has drafted Warner to host “The Moment,” a new, nine-episode reality series in which participants get a second chance to go back and take a different direction in life.

Written on January 16, 2012 by Lucy Coughlan

Even before Fox debuted Fringe in 2008, the series suffered under the unfair question of whether it would be the next version of its producer J.J. Abrams Lost. Once the show aired, it was quickly clear that the show had no such intention: it was more episodic, less baroque and more of a paranormal-gumshoe show along the lines of The X-Files, and it would be a full season until it developed into the parallel-universe sci-fi thriller that we now know Fringe to be.

The question for Abrams Alcatraz is now, instead, whether it will be the next Fringe.
